What did they do with Shamu's body when he died?.. I don't know... but I like to think that those little buckets full of fish the trainers use to reward the whales for their performance is really just the remains of the previous whale that occupied the tank. This would ensure that the original Shamu would truly live on in the whales to come after him..

funny you blogged this, out of deep curiosity of what happened to Shamu, I consulted the "infinite" wisdom of my parents. After our conversation Sunday night, I just had to know. Well my dad believes he was cut up and every inch of him was used for whale research. My mother believes, if you order fish sticks at seaworld, you're really consuming whale sticks, but I am going to stick to my hypothesis that he was made into various types of shoes containing whale leather. I guess we'll never know...
